Site Preparation
Land clearing, grading, and pad preparation

Proper site preparation is the foundation of every successful construction project. Junky Monkey delivers graded, compacted, and inspection-ready building pads and cleared parcels that meet the soil and structural requirements of your project and the regulatory requirements of Riverside County.

Our team has extensive experience navigating the unique subsurface conditions common to the Coachella Valley — including caliche hardpan, sandy alluvial soils, and expansive clay deposits — and applies appropriate grading and compaction methods for each site type.

Land Clearing and Grubbing

Removal of all surface vegetation, brush, desert scrub, root systems, rocks, and organic debris from a parcel in preparation for grading or construction activity.

Rough Grading

Establishment of preliminary grade elevations consistent with the approved grading plan. Includes cut-and-fill operations to bring the site to design grade within tolerance.

Finish Grading

Final precision grading to achieve specified drainage patterns, pad elevations, and surface tolerances required for foundation forming, paving, or landscaping.

Compaction & Sub-base Prep

Mechanical compaction of native or imported fill material to specified relative compaction standards. Compaction testing coordination is available through licensed geotechnical firms.

Import and Export of Material

Hauling of imported fill material to achieve design grade, or export of excess soil and excavated material from the site. Soil sourcing through approved local sources is available.

Pad Preparation

Preparation of building pad surfaces for residential, commercial, or industrial construction, including fine grading, compaction, and pre-slab inspection coordination.
Construction Cleanup
Active-site and post-construction cleanup

A well-maintained construction site is not incidental to a well-run project — it is a direct reflection of it. Debris accumulation, unmanaged waste, and disorganized staging areas create safety hazards, slow trade productivity, complicate inspections, and increase the risk of regulatory citations. Junky Monkey provides professional construction cleanup services designed to keep your site safe, organized, and compliant throughout every phase of the build.

We work under contract directly with general contractors, construction managers, owner-builders, and developers across the Coachella Valley. Our crews are experienced operating within active construction environments alongside framing, mechanical, electrical, and finish trade crews — without interrupting workflow or creating scheduling conflicts.

Cleanup services by construction phase:

Demo and Grading

Bulk debris removal, spoil pile management, concrete and masonry disposal, and site organization during initial clearing and earthwork phases.

Foundation and Framing

Form lumber removal, concrete washout management, framing cutoff and scrap disposal, and ongoing site sweeping between trade phases.

Mechanical Rough-In

Removal of conduit, pipe, duct scrap, and packaging materials generated during plumbing, electrical, and HVAC rough-in operations.

Insulation & Drywall

Drywall scrap, joint compound waste, insulation packaging, and batt material removal — the highest-volume interior waste phase on most projects.

Finish and Trim

Flooring cutoffs, cabinetry packaging, hardware waste, paint and adhesive containers, and finish material debris removed prior to final inspections.

Final Cleanout

Comprehensive interior and exterior cleanout at project completion, preparing the property for final inspection, CO, and occupancy or turnover.

Demolition
Structural and selective demolition

Junky Monkey performs residential and commercial demolition of all scales — from full structure teardowns to targeted interior selective demolition. Our equipment fleet includes excavators, skid steers, and hydraulic breakers, matched to the specific requirements of each engagement. All demolition work is conducted in compliance with Riverside County permitting requirements and applicable OSHA standards.

We coordinate with utility companies for disconnection prior to demolition commencement and provide detailed pre-demolition assessments upon request. Hazardous material identification and abatement coordination (asbestos, lead, etc.) can be arranged through our licensed subcontractor network.

Full Structure Demolition

Complete teardown of residential homes, commercial buildings, outbuildings, and accessory structures. Site is cleared to grade and prepared for the next phase of development.

Selective and Interior Demolition

Precise removal of designated interior elements — walls, ceilings, flooring, cabinetry, mechanical systems — while preserving the structural integrity of the remaining building.

Concrete and Asphalt Breaking

Removal of driveways, slabs, flatwork, foundations, curbing, and asphalt surfaces. Material is broken, loaded, and transported for recycling or disposal.

Pool and Spa Removal

Full excavation and removal or permitted partial-fill (cave-in/crush) of in-ground pools and spas. We manage permit coordination and engineered fill documentation as required.

Retaining Wall Removal

Demolition of block, poured concrete, and timber retaining walls in preparation for new construction or grading operations.

Foundation Removal

Excavation and full removal of existing foundations, piers, grade beams, and footings to accommodate new construction layouts.

All demolition projects include debris removal and transport to a licensed disposal or recycling facility. We maintain documentation of tipping receipts and material disposal for client records upon request.

Hauling & Debris Removal
Construction debris removal and roll-off services

Junky Monkey operates a fleet of trucks, trailers, and roll-off containers to meet the debris removal needs of projects of any scale. We provide both scheduled recurring service and on-demand same-day hauling throughout the Coachella Valley. All material is transported to licensed transfer stations, recycling facilities, or disposal sites, with documentation available upon request.

When your construction or demolition site starts to pile up with debris, waste, and leftover materials, Junky Monkey is ready to roll. Our hauling and debris removal services keep your site clean, organized, and safe so you can focus on the work that matters. From concrete chunks and lumber to junk and general waste, we haul it all — quickly, efficiently, and in full compliance with local disposal regulations.

Roll-off Dumpster Placement

Temporary roll-off containers placed and serviced on your schedule. Multiple container sizes available to match project volume. Exchange and pull scheduling is coordinated directly with your site supervisor.

Same-day and Scheduled Hauling

On-call hauling for urgent debris removal needs, as well as recurring scheduled service for active construction sites. Rapid response is available for time-sensitive project phases.

Mixed Construction Debris

Removal of mixed C&D materials including concrete, wood, drywall, metal, roofing, and general construction waste. Materials are sorted at the transfer facility for maximum diversion from landfill.

Soil and Excavated Material

Export of excavated soil, sand, caliche, and rock from grading and demolition operations. Clean fill export and import material sourcing are both available.

Green Waste and Vegetation

Removal of brush, trees, stumps, roots, landscaping debris, and organic material from cleared parcels. Green waste is transported to composting or mulching facilities where available.

Concrete and Masonry Recycling

Concrete, block, and masonry waste is transported to regional recycling facilities for processing into recycled aggregate. Diversion documentation is provided upon request.

Junky Monkey prioritizes material diversion from the landfill and partners with licensed recycling facilities throughout the Inland Empire and Coachella Valley. Disposal manifests and tipping receipts are maintained for all loads and provided to clients on request.

Concrete & Asphalt Removal
Concrete and asphalt removal and recycling

Junky Monkey provides professional removal of concrete and asphalt surfaces for residential, commercial, and municipal projects throughout the Coachella Valley. Whether you are replacing an aging driveway, clearing a commercial parking lot, demolishing a structural slab, or preparing a site for new paving or construction, our equipment fleet and experienced crew deliver efficient, complete removal with minimal disruption to surrounding areas.

All concrete and asphalt removed by Junky Monkey is transported to licensed regional recycling facilities for processing into recycled aggregate base material — diverting substantial tonnage from the landfill and supporting more sustainable construction practices across the region.

Residential Driveways and Flatwork

Full removal of existing concrete or asphalt driveways, walkways, patios, and pool decks. Sub-base is graded and left ready for new paving, landscaping, or construction as specified.

Commercial Parking Lots

Large-scale asphalt and concrete removal for commercial properties, retail centers, industrial yards, and municipal facilities. We coordinate phased removal to maintain site access where required.

Structural Slabs and Foundations

Removal of reinforced and post-tension concrete slabs, foundation systems, grade beams, and footings. Rebar is extracted, sorted, and transported separately for metal recycling.

Saw Cutting and Selective Removal

Precision saw cutting to define removal boundaries and protect adjacent surfaces, structures, or utilities. Ideal for partial driveway replacements, section repairs, and utility access excavations.

Curb, Gutter, and Right-of-way Work

Removal of existing curb, gutter, and sidewalk sections in coordination with municipal permit requirements. We are experienced with Riverside County and Coachella Valley city encroachment permit processes.

Sub-base Preparation After Removal

Upon removal completion, the exposed sub-base is graded, cleared of debris, and compacted as required. Site is left in a condition ready for new paving contractor mobilization or further construction activity.

Post-tension slabs require specialized saw cutting and strand tensioning procedures prior to demolition. Junky Monkey identifies post-tension construction during pre-job assessment and adjusts methodology accordingly. Clients are informed of any post-tension conditions identified during site review before work commences.

Final Site Cleanup
End-of-project site clearing and restoration

The condition of a site at project close reflects directly on the quality of the entire construction process. Junky Monkey’s final site cleanup services ensure that every project concludes with a clean, orderly, and inspection-ready site — whether you are preparing for final municipal inspection, handing off to a landscape contractor, or opening a completed property to the public.

Our crews conduct a systematic site walk to identify and remove all remaining construction materials, debris, and waste prior to performing any grading restoration or surface cleaning required by scope.

Final Lot Clearing

Systematic removal of all remaining debris, equipment staging remnants, packaging, and waste from the project site and surrounding areas impacted by construction activity.

Grade Restoration

Restoration of disturbed areas adjacent to the construction footprint to original or specified grade, including compaction and surface finishing as required for landscaping handoff or inspection.

Hardscape and Surface Cleaning

Pressure washing of concrete flatwork, driveways, walkways, and exterior surfaces to remove construction residue, staining, and tracked material.

Inspection-ready Preparation

Coordination of final cleanup scope and sequencing with the general contractor to align with final inspection scheduling. We are familiar with Riverside County and municipal final inspection standards.

Site Documentation

Photographic documentation of site conditions before and after final cleanup, provided to the general contractor or property owner as a record of completed work and site condition at turnover.

Multi-lot and Development Cleanups

Scaled final cleanup operations for multi-unit residential developments, commercial campuses, and phased construction projects, with crew and equipment deployment matched to project size.

Post-tension slabs require specialized saw cutting and strand tensioning procedures prior to demolition. Junky Monkey identifies post-tension construction during pre-job assessment and adjusts methodology accordingly. Clients are informed of any post-tension conditions identified during site review before work commences.

FAQ

1. How quickly can you mobilize?
For standard projects, we typically mobilize within 3 to 7 business days of contract execution, subject to crew and equipment availability. For urgent or time-sensitive projects, we offer expedited mobilization — contact our office directly to discuss availability.
2. Do you provide written estimates?

Yes. All pricing is provided in a written estimate before any work begins. We do not commence work on verbal agreements. Change orders that affect scope or pricing are also documented in writing and approved by the client prior to execution.

3. Can you provide a certificate of insurance?

Yes. Certificates of insurance naming your project or organization as an additional insured are available upon request. Allow 1 to 2 business days for certificate processing and issuance through our insurance carrier.

4. Do you work outside the Coachella Valley?
Our primary service area is the Coachella Valley. For large commercial or multi-site projects located outside our standard area, we evaluate requests on a case-by-case basis. Contact our office to discuss your project location.
5. What information should I have ready when I call?
It is helpful to have the project address or location, a description of the work needed, the approximate size of the site or structure, your desired timeline, and the name of the general contractor if applicable. The more information you can provide, the faster we can prepare an accurate estimate.
6. Do you handle permit coordination?

Junky Monkey does not pull permits on behalf of clients as a standard practice, as permits are typically the responsibility of the property owner or general contractor. However, we are familiar with local permitting requirements and can advise on what may be required for your specific scope of work.
